Lavalette Paloma – Herve Morvan – 1959 – 169x128cm – Original Lithographic Poster
Herve Morvan was a French poster artist who’s produced over 500 posters throughout his prolific career. Trained in multiple visual arts at The School of Applied Arts, Paris, Morvan showed tremendous artistic skill from a young age.
In 1942 he produced his first poster for a movie titled “Strong Head”. In 1949 he began to create commercial posters for iconic brands such as Perrier, Gitanes, Bally and Savora.
His work features playful characters, bold colours and soft lines. His signature style is extremely popular with collectors. Here we see an iconic poster of his for Lavalette Paloma, with a newly married bride and groom.
