February is dedicated to Quarez

Quarez Month February

In February the gallery’s walls will be dedicated to our favourite poster artist Michel Quarez. Letitia Morris Gallery holds the worlds largest collection of his work, over 100 posters and this month we will be exhibiting our entire collection. From small to large posters, these will be displayed in our gallery at 1158 High Street Armadale.

“I don’t think computers are meant to draw images, it’s not the same logic as working on paper” – Quarez (interview 2006)

Today we are celebrating the work of contemporary poster artist, Michel Quarez. Quarez’s work is loved and recognised worldwide due to his great swaths of fluorescent colour combined with a painterly essence. He believes the physical movement of a brush on paper is of great importance for his work.
