Francisco Bores (Spanish, 1898–1972) was born in Madrid, and studied at Cecilio Plá’s Academy. Bores moved to Paris, once there, he struck up friendships with Pablo Picasso Juan Gris, and Pablo Gargallo, and met art dealers Jacques Berheim and Léonce Rosenberg, who started selling his works.
