This is a very elegant illustration by the famous artist, Rene Gruau. Gruau worked as a fashion illustrator for French Vogue, as well as Marie-Claire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and many more! According to Alan Riding of the New York Times, “everything he [Gruau] did, he evoked the glamour and style of the world of high fashion”.
